PACIFIC TOP TEAM CODE OF CONDUCT

1. ALWAYS BE RESPECTFUL ON AND OFF THE MATS.

2. NO FOUL LANGUAGE OR PROFANITY.

3. SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!

4. NO FILMING WILL BE TOLERATED DURING CLASS TIME. (unless previous approved by professor)

5. ABSOLUTELY NO COACHING YOUR CHILDREN OR OTHER STUDENTS DURING CLASS OR COMPETITION. PLEASE TRUST IN THE WORK OF OUR INSTRUCTORS.

6. NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES ON THE MAT WILL BE TOLERATED DURING CLASS.

7. IF, LATE PLEASE SIT OR STAND TO THE SIDE OF THE TRAINING AREA UNTIL YOU ARE WELCOMED TO THE CLASS BY THE PROF. OR INSTRUCTOR.

8. DO NOT LEAVE THE MAT AREA WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION FROM THE PROF. OR INSTRUCTOR. TRAINING GEAR AND GI’S MUST BE KEPT CLEAN.

9. ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE AFFILIATION PATCHES MAY BE WORN IN THE ACADEMY.

10. ALL GI’S MUST BE PATCHED WITH ACADEMY PATCHES FRONT AND BACK.

11. THE ACADEMY NO-GI UNIFORM IS REQUIRED FOR ALL NO-GI CLASSES, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE COMPETITION & MASTER CLASS. (NO EXCEPTIONS) LADIES MAY WEAR SPATS OR YOGA PANTS WITH ACADEMY RASH GUARD.

12. NO SHOES, FOOD, OR DRINKS ON THE MAT AT ALL TIMES. (SHOES OR FLIP FLOPS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES OUTSIDE OF THE TRAINING AREA)

13. ALL METAL OBJECTS, JEWELRY, PIERCINGS, NECKLACES AND OTHER ITEMS MUST BE REMOVED DURING TRAINING. FINGER AND TOE NAILS MUST BE KEPT CLEAN & NEATLY TRIMMED FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY.

14. KEEP FEET CLEAN, DIRTY FEET ON THE MAT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

PLEASE REFRAIN FROM TRAINING WHILE ILL OR WITH SKIN INFECTIONS. (PLEASE BE SURE TO BANDAGE ALL OPEN WOUNDS BEFORE TRAINING)

15. PLEASE COME PREPARED WITH ALL YOUR TRAINING GEAR, RENTALS FEES WILL APPLY FOR ALL STUDENTS.

16. EVERYONE MUST WEAR A SHIRT OR RASH GAURD AT ALL TIMES INSIDE OF THE ACADEMY. (RASH GUARDS ARE REQUIRED UNDER YOUR GI)

17. ALL TRAINING GEAR AND BAGS MUST STAY IN THE LOCKER ROOM, NOT IN OR AROUND THE TRAINING AREA.

18. WORKOUT WITHIN YOUR PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS, PLEASE INFORM ALL INSTRUCTORS OF ALL/ANY HEALTH CONDITIONS YOU MAY HAVE.

19. ADDRESS ALL BLACK BELT INSTRUCTORS AS PROF. AND NON BLACK BELT INSTRUCTORS AS COACH. 

20. TALKING SHOULD BE KEPT AT A MINIMUM DURING TRAINING AND RELATE TO CLASS MATERIAL.

21. EVERYONE MUST STAND OR SITING ON POSTURE DURING THE DEMONSTRATION OF ANY TECHNIQUES. 

22. KNOW YOUR LIMITS AND RESPECT YOUR TRAINING PARTNERS.

23. THE BELT REPRESENTS YOUR PROGRESS TRY TO KEEP IT ON AT ALL TIMES.(INCLUDING YOUR STRIPES) WORK TOGETHER!

24. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SIT ON OR AROUND THE MATS WHEN ANY CLASS IS IN SESSION HAVE FUN!

COMPETITORS CODE OF CONDUCT

1) NO MIXED MATCHED COLORED TOP AND BOTTOMS .

2) WHILE WE RESPECT YOUR JOURNEY IN SPORTS JIU JITSU, PLEASE BE AWARE OF OTHER STUDENTS LIMITATIONS THAT DO NOT COMPETE WHEN TRAINING IN NORMAL CLASSES. DO NOT GO TOO HARD ON THEM.

3) MANAGEMENT AND HEAD INSTRUCTOR MUST APPROVE ADMISSION INTO OUR COMPETITION PROGRAM.

4) IF YOU DECIDE TO COMMIT TO THE TRAINING WITHIN OUR COMPETITION PROGRAM, YOU MUST COMMIT TO THE SEASON. FAILURE TO ATTEND WILL BE ONLY HURTING YOURSELF AND YOUR TRAINING PARTNERS. WE UNDERSTAND THAT INJURIES HAPPEN.

5) IN THE COMPETITION TRAINING THERE IS NO TOLERATION OF SITTING TO THE SIDE DURING ROUNDS WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION OF THE HEAD INSTRUCTOR.

6) TARDINESS WILL RESULT IN CONSEQUENCES BY DISCRETION OF THE INSTRUCTOR.

7) BRING YOUR OWN TRAINING GEAR. (I.E. MOUTHGUARD, TAPE, TOWELS, AND WATER BOTTLES)

8) RESPECT YOUR TRAINING PARTNERS.

9) FILMING SHOULD BE KEPT TO OPEN MAT HOURS ONLY.  ACADEMY LOGO MUST BE DISPLAYED IN BACKGROUND. NO OBSENE MATERIAL WILL BE TOLERATED. MATERIAL SHOULD BE RELATED TO JIU JITSU INSTRUCTION ONLY. PLEASE ADVISE A MEMBER OF OUR STAFF PRIOR TO FILMING.

10) NO SEXUAL HARASSMENT OR SEXUAL MISCONDUCT WILL BE TOLERATED.

11) ALL COMPETITORS MUST WEAR ACADEMY PATCHES FRONT AND BACK. (NO EXCEPTIONS)

12) NO PATCHES. NO TRAINING!

13) ALL COMPETITORS MUST CHECK IN AT THE FRONT DESK EVERYDAY. NO SNEAKING IN VISITORS OR YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR MAT FEE.

14) ANYTHING LEFT OVERNIGHT AT THE ACADEMY WLL BE THROWN AWAY WITHOUT NOTICE.

15) CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF. TAKE CARE OF OUR HOUSE.

18) BE AWARE THAT YOU DO REPRESENT THE ACADEMY. BE MINDFUL OF YOUR ACTIONS AND HOW YOU PORTRAY THE TEAM

PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

1) CALL COACHES “COACH” AND PROFESSORS “PROFESSOR”

2) ABSOLUTELY NO COACHING YOUR CHILDREN OR OTHER STUDENTS DURING CLASS AND COMPETITION.

3) DO NOT CALL YOUR KID FOR WATER OR TIE THEIR BELT DURING CLASS. THE COACHES WILL TEACH THEM HOW TO TIE THE BELT AND WATER BREAKS WILL BE GIVEN DURING THE CLASS.

4) TRUST IN THE ACADEMY PROGRAM, WE HAVE PROFESSIONALS THAT ARE FULL TIME JIU JITSU INSTRUCTORS AND ATHLETES, THEY KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR YOUR CHILD’S JOURNEY IN JIU JITSU.

5) DO NOT PUSH YOUR CHILD. THE MOST IMPORTAN THING FOR THEM IS TO HAVE FUN ON THE MAT. THE JOURNEY IS LONG AND WE DO NOT WANT THEM TO GIVE UP. THE COACHES WILL ALWAYS REQUIRE THE BEST OF EACH STUDENT.

6) BE PATIENT AND POSITIVE, ALWAYS PRAISE YOUR CHILD WITH WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT AFTER CLASS.

7) STUDENTS MUST HAVE THE ACADEMY PATCHES ON THEIR GIS FRONT AND BACK.

8) STUDENTS IN KIDS PROGRAM MUST HAVE THEIR NAMES ON THE COLLAR (IT CAN BE WRITTEN WITH A SHARPIE OR EMBROIDERED)

9) WE RECOMMEND EVERY PARENT TO DROP THE STUDENT OFF AND NOT STAY AT THE ACADEMY OR CLOSE TO THE MAT AREA. KIDS CAN FOCUS BETTER WHEN THE PARENTS ARE NOT AROUND.

PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT FOR COMPETITIONS

1) FOR ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE EVENT PLEASE CONTACT THE TOURNAMENT ORGANIZATION.

2) FOR ANY QUESTION ABOUT YOUR CHILD OR ANY ADVICE ON WHAT DIVISION THEY SHOULD COMPETE IN, YOU MAY CONTACT THE ACADEMY.

3) ABSOLUTELY NO COACHING YOUR CHILDREN OR OTHER STUDENTS DURING COMPETITION. THEY NEED TO STAY CALM AND USE THE TECHNIQUES THAT THEY ALREADY LEARNED IN CLASS.

4) IN ORDER TO KEEP THE TEAM ENVIRONMENT AND HAVE ALL THE KIDS HELPING EACH OTHER IN CLASS. WE WILL NOT ALLOW THE KIDS TO FIGHT TEAMMATES IN COMPETITIONS OUTSIDE THE ACDEMY. WE WANT TO TEACH THE IMPORTANCE OF TEAMWORK AT A YOUNG AGE. KIDS IN THE SAME DIVISION WILL FLIP A COIN TO SEE WHOM ADVANCES.

5) RESPECT YOUR OPPONENTS, TEAMMATES, PROFESSORS, COACHES, AND OTHER PARENTS.

6) BE PATIENT AND POSITIVE. ALWAYS PRAISE YOUR CHILD WITH WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT AFTER COMPETITION.

7) ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF THE COMPETITION IS TO TEACH YOUR CHILD ABOUT OVERCOMING FEARS, FACING CHALLENGES, AND TEAM WORK. WINNING OR LOSING IS PART OF THE SPORT.
