October 22nd was an exciting day for our team! Many of our Chilean Team mates arrived the day before and were ready to go fight the next day even with the Jet Lag.
The Jiu Jitsu World League Tournament was held at Cal State University Northridge and was a warm up for the SJJIF Worlds that is October 28 & 29th for many of our competitors.
The Team looked amazing!!!!
Sophia took Gold with two amazing fights. She really pushed the limits fighting to the end to come on top and get the W with a sweep in the last 30 seconds. She put Professor's saying of "you can do anything in 20 seconds" into play.
Coach Kim took Gold as well with 2 fights and 2 wins by submission. It was fun to see all the back retention we learned the week before the competition be used. 1 choke from the back and 1 arm bar won her the Gold.
Javiera took Gold with 2 fights as well. The first one she won with Ezekiel Choke and the second 10-0 on points.
Coach Benito won Silver wining his first fight with a Paper cutter Submission and losing the second. He is looking amazing fighting at the Blue Belt level.
Mauro fought like a champion with an injured rib and unfortunately lost his first fight by decision.
It was an Amazing day with the team. Thanks to Coach Felipe, Stephanie, Carolina, Miguel, Pablo, Russell and Gina for being there for support and taking so many awesome pictures and videos of us.
Thanks for Professor JP for all the amazing Coaching. Not only on competition day but helping us all to prepare!
SJJIF Worlds Next Week!!! Don't miss the last week of the training camp this week. Training Monday-Thursday at 11am and Advance/Competition training every night at 7pm. #pttstrong #oneteamonefamily
